It was dark, as always. He was used to the dark though, crimson eyes adjusted to his new surroundings as he righted himself after being unexpectedly drawn to this world. A metalic hand clinked as it settled at one hip, scarlet fabric draped around the apendage and flowed off. Where was he? Brass toed boots clanked along the ground in the dark tunnel, his right hand resting on the handle of his gun at his side, just in case.
Something in the air didn't feel right, but then again after a rift into your world threw you into a dark new one not much about your surroundings would feel right. Still...all was not right. A clink sounded as he drew the weapon at his side, whatever was down here would be met with force if need be. He wasn't a violent man but did know how to protect himself and would. Far better was it that he shot down his attacker rather than get beat to the point that his inner demon went into self defense mode. It was mercy to shoot them down first. Scarlet hues scanned ahead of him searching for movement while he held his gun out with both hands trained where his eyes went. He wasn't jumpy by nature, didn't usually shoot first and ask questions never, but this feeling was enough to make even him edgy and that was a frightening thought if you knew the reclusive 'vampire'.

"Hnnf!"
Death Penalty cocked. Aimed. Fired. Another black creature shrieked before fading from existance. A smouldering shell hit the floor with a clang as his gun barrel loaded again. Target locked. The gun recoiled with the fire as three of the barrels this time fired sending the bigger shadowy creature slamming into a wall before dissolving from view.
What were these things? He had no time to sit around and play guessing games. Another one attacked from his right. Flying down from the sky it sent raking claws at his face. Crimson orbs didn't even blink as the creature was stopped short by landing with it's gut to the nozzle of his three barrelled gun. Smoke curled out the back of the shadow thing before it slumped and faded from view as well.
Panting Vincent scanned the room that was now quiet. Either these things had run out or had some form of intelligence and had decided to stay away from the man with the well loaded gun. Scarlet fabric rustled out from behind him as he swooped from his spot to continue further down the conduit to try and find his way out without having to fight off another horde of those damn creatures.
His back hit cement wall as he slunk down a pillar. Once again a rift had opened and those bastard shadows had steppped, no more like poured, out. Whipping his frame around the side of the pillar he fired three consecutive shots taking out five creatures before turning back around as some kind of spell hit the concrete pillar sending crumbling debris around. "Feh...." he grunted getting sick of these little devils. Crouched he waited for the perfect timing between magical blasts hitting the pillar he was hiding behind, then suddenly he leapt out into the air laying sideways as his narrowed crimson eyes locked on to target after target while a trail of smoke lined the air as he fired again and again taking out the remainder of the enemies before hitting the ground with a roll to bring himself to standing again. "Hmmf."

[Squall and Yuffie will be put on a hold for a little while, allowing time for Cloud and Cid to arrive and lend aid to Vincent. I'll have Squall and Yuffie arrive a little while after Cloud and Cid do, so until then... have fun.]

[_.Knowing the other knew more about the environment in such place, he would be the first one to dive into the sewer like place. Tunnels? He looked the areas from right to left, examining the surroundings, as he waited for Cid to lead the way. The place was truly familiar, almost identical to the basement where Vincent Valentine was found. If possible, if he had the chance, he would chuckle lightly at this, but even when he wanted to, it was a failure. Taking a breath, he scanned the area some more, pipes and tunnels was all that the eye could see. " So, he's waiting for us, here? "
curious, he asked under a calm tone of voice, the tune his voice always played, under a low tone. He turned to ask this to the blond, his question was in reference to their friend, Vincent being here, it was obvious. A man like the red-caped individual, would find this place so home like, but was it like... Midgar? He wouldn't question this, the ex-mercenary approached Cid, after he examined the place where they stood for the last time, waiting for them to move, and find Vincent, or be found._]

"That's the rumor, anyway," Cid huffed, instinctively reaching for his pack of cigarettes, but then stopping. After all, it stank down here... it stank bad, and that was thanks to the gasses in the air. Gasses that could, potentially, be set off if he had taken the liberty of lighting up a smoke.
After his eyes adjusted to the darkness, he looked around, debating on which way Vincent would be found. He raised his left hand, his right one currently occupied holding his spear against his shoulder. "The signal was comin' from that direction. Knowin' Sunshine, though, he will have instinctively gone the wrong way, though. So--"
His words were quickly cut off as distant gunshots echoed through the conduit they stood in. Sure enough, they came from the direction Cid had suspected Vincent was.
"Shit... looks like he's startin' some sort of party without us! C'mon, Spike!" Cid growled, starting to trot down the tunnel in the direction of the gunfire. He figured they would go collect their wayward gunslinger and then go to the source of the disturbance.

The creatures were not to hard to take out, in general, what was difficult was the sheer number of them all flooding around. With another disgusted grunt he hefted the sizable gun and blew away yet another of the little bastards. "Where are they coming from...?" He spoke to no one in particular, save for the responseless beings before him.
Footsteps? For what he knew the creatures before him were rather formless and didn't make that much nose even when running towards him. Something else was coming. To be safe he wouldn't let whoever it was surprise him from behind. With a smirk hidden behind his upturned collar he loaded three explosive bullets made to shatter when launched to affect a sprayed area. The well placed shot took out his remaining enemies to the front. Turning upon golden heel he took off faster than the eyes could see and then landed before the man coming up the tunnel, gun aimed at his forhead before his eyes caught the familiar features.
"Cloud?" Immediately the gun lowered as the vampiric looking man stood stunned for a brief moment, he had not expected to see familiar faces down here. Slowly his head turned to the side to see Cid, the old dragoon lancer pilot and gave a slight but friendly nod toward him. "Cid. Where are we?" He'd get straight to the point, no unneccessary long hello's. "Furthermore, what are those things down here? They don't seem to quit easily."

[_.A gloved palm was placed properly on the hilt of the sword, that was carried like a like pouch around one's waist. The sword was probably bigger than the blond ex-mercenary or about the same height, even then, it was not a problem at all. There was a lack of fresh air in such tunnels, but this did not bother him at all, it was, something else. Not the smell, he could deal with it, unlike his companion, who was once again complaining, but that made the Al Bhed, the Cid he is. He turned to face him, while the blond spoke, once again he observed his surroundings. The tunnels were no ordinary tunnels, even a child would know this. Mako hues narrowed, like feline eyes, they would glow a tainted green, as his features shadowed briefly. " ..These aren't ordinary tunnels, are they Cid? " The spiky busterblade wielder directed his words toward the pilot, and mechanic.
His palm withdrew from the hilt, letting his arms to remain free against his sides. One arm was enigmatic, it was wrapped, rather covered by the long black and loose sleeve, while the other arm was naked. Hands were gloved, covered by leather gloves, but the fabric wouldn't suffer by the environments actions, instead it kept him calm. He waited for an answer from Cid, as his eyes examined every corner and pipe, as they walked. No far from where they enter, he stopped, upon feeling the cold steel of a handgun upon his forehead, though hearing his name before it, got a hold of his attention. " Vincent, what do you know about this? " The ex-SOLDIER wasn't one to greet another, just like the red caped one. Knowing the enigmatic one asked Cid a question, his own was directed to Vincent. Now both, Cid and Vincent owed him answers. Answers, the male in black would want to hear.
The creatures that creeped out of the solid floor they stood upon, continued to appear. Crowding the place, he stood next to his companions, head tilted as he shot a look at them. Dark small heartless, he knew about them, he knew much to understand the reasons for such creatures to be what they are. Although, Vincent and Cid would hold the right answers, or so he thought. It was best he thought this way, after all both of these man, knew more about this place, than he did. " Hm, we can't let them take over these tunnels. " His tone was a bit louder than usual, he wasn't giving orders, but only mere offerings to the other two. His palm traveled back to the hilt of the bandaged First Fist, fingers curled about the width of the hilt, as he prepared himself._]

"Well, no shit these ain't regular tunnels..." the pilot huffed, clutching his spear before his chest. "These are the arteries of the damn town. All the utilities pump through here and maybe... maybe it's some fuckin' fluke with the EMF waves generated here that have caused some sort of rift. The big signal I was pickin' up is comin' from that way so if that's where these fuckers are originatin' from--"
His words cut off for a moment as he perried with his spear, cutting down a small Heartless that had gotten just a little too close for comfort. "--we need to get there and close the rift one way or another."
With that, he switched his gaze between Cloud and Vincent, hoping that they'd gotten as much of an explaination as they needed. As far as Cid was concerned, seeing was believing and they just needed to get to the source and see what was going on.

"I have no usefull knowledge of this tunnel," was his only response to Cloud's question, and it was true. Town? Which one was Cid speaking of? Midgar? Somehow he doubted he was even in his own world any longer, as odd as that sounded. It could wait. Spinning on his golden heel he turned around to end one heartless' attempt to follow up the first and go after Cid. The direction the lance weilding pilot pointed in almost made Vincent groan. He had to go back there again? No matter, these things were fairly easy to kill and with three instead of one it shouldn't be all that terrible. Still it irked him to have to do it in the first place. Why couldn't he ever be left alone to sleep?
"Agreed. Whatever they are they must be stopped. I'll lend a hand." It was fairly obvious that he'd help but he might as well clarify his intent since the man was really a loner and could, if he so choose, have stayed out of someone else's problem. "We shouldn't waste time, more are coming as we speak." Turning he began to walk off in the direction Cid had indicated, sparks flying as he shot off a few aproaching enemies and waited for the others to follow.

"All right, then," Cid replied, trotting to follow Vincent, flashing back a glance at Cloud to make sure that he would follow suit. Vincent's fastest walk was, needless to say, quicker than Cid's thanks to the gunslinger's superior height, meaning that Cid had to jog about every fourth step to keep up with him. This quickly got on the pilot's nerves, it always had, but he kept his complaints to himself despite his exertion. He knew to have said anything about it would have earned some snide quip about this being what he got for smoking so much for so long. Then again, it was the females of the group who usually dished him that crap and they weren't here. Still-- he knew complaining to Vincent would do no good. It never had.
"I was pickin' 'em up 'bout fifty yards East of the entrance that Spike and I came down... who knows how in the fuck y'all got in here, Sunshine." Cid then thought for a moment to himself, realizing that he HADN'T seen Vincent since arriving here in the first place. "Wait... how the hell DID you get here, guy?"

[_.Leather gloved hand glided across from his abdomen on the left side to the right side, and with a flick of the wrist to adjust the hand properly, and the fingers embrace the hilt of his sword. The blond ex-mercenary's hand was now ready to unsheathe the sword, known as First Fist, the sword based from the Busterblade, though names did not matter. Busterblade or First Fist, it had a symbol and meanings, the bandaged wedge did not shine, nor it flickered, once he brought it forth, one-hand wielding such large and sharp weapon; a deadly weapon at that, on the right hands, and on the wrong hands, as well. While the red-caped man, spoke with the blond pilot, his eyes did not welcome the Heartless at all, his look wasn't friendly toward them all. Tainted hues narrowed slightly, giving the Heartless a scan, he glanced from left to right and right to left, carefully going with his look through all of them. The loose sleeve hung freely, but it did not bother the spiky haired male at all, even if his left hand wielded the sword, it was not a bother to him.
As Cid spoke, his ears concentrated and focus on the other two, as they exchanged words with one another, and would of course leave himself out of this, talk, for now. As the Heartless continue to crowd the tunnels, and spawn from the walls, and tubes, and floor, he would glare at them. But his look was no ordinary glare, he was reserving such glare for another, instead he did not welcome the dark dolls, at all, with a soft groan he would speak to them. Rather than saying more about them, the offer, the idea, plan, or called whatever Cid wanted, caught his interest, knowing heading to that place and fighting the Heartless would be double-trouble. Double the work. He knew these men, enough to help them out with this, to help everyone out if possible, as Vincent's own behavior and reaction to the situation, his lips parted, " Vincent. Cid. You two leave this to me, " knowing what they might say about his decision, he did not turn to give them a brief glance, instead he'd continue, " If you two stop this, we can get out of here and go help the others out there. "
Uttering those words, the blond had made his decision, and the Heartless were doing theirs, as they continued to approach them, in order to corner them. " Go.. " He would make it count, his tone escaped under a loud tune for the other two to hear, to accept his choice. Adjusting his wrist, for the weight of the sword to fall on his hand properly, he turned the sword, and brought it up, wielding it with both hands, fingers and thumbs embraced the hilt of the bandaged sword, from his view, his sight, the sword would split the Heartless beings in grounds, left side and right side. " Hm.. " Giving the first Hearltess its chance to attack, the being lounged itself forward, and with that movement made, Cloud's sword came in a horizontal manner, to slice and send a cutting wind forth, to slice those on the ground in half. Like dust, like the smoke vanishing before one's eyes, the sliced Heartless poofed into the thin air._]

Vincent trusted Cloud's judgement, had come to trust that sound SOLDIER judgement through many battles fought at his side. He also trusted Cid and felt completely at ease fighting at the dragoon lancer's side. It was then that he didn't question the blonde's orders and simply nodded his confirmation before continuing on to leave Cloud to handle the creatures here and go to the source to dismantle it with Cid.
Turning as he walked in long strides he'd answer the question brought up by his teamate. "I came the same way they did, though not as willingly. Black rain, I've never seen anything like it before. That is all I can say."
A chamber slammed as he loaded and locked the gun at his side and shot a black approaching creature through the head with a small snarl. He despised violence for the very reason that it brought out a lethal side of him he always had to keep under control. But this kind of violence was neccessary and he'd fight for something neccessary. The gun recoiled and shot again as they blazed through the teeming mass of black and suddenly black was all he could see, even with his crimson eyes.
I see the darkness in your heart.
"Who are you?" He whipped around in the empty darkness, gun trying to train itself on the voice he couldn't see.
I am.
"Where are you?!" He was getting a little unnerved. All Cid would see was Vincent whipping around demanding of the air to answer him.
Give in to the darkness of your heart.
With that the voice faded and left the vampire with his gun trained on Cid and for a moment he wasn't sure he should lower the weapon. Slowly he lowered the trained weapon but quickly whipped it to the side to shoot a creature coming up out of the floor. "Let's just find that rift." He couldn't explain what had just happened and wouldn't try, he'd just hope it never happened again.

The pilot disregarded the threat of the creatures around them for a moment, and put his attention fully on Vincent as the gunslinger seemed to suffer some sort of episode. For the moment, he dropped his concern over finding the source of the onslought. He wondered if this was the prelude to one of Vincent's inner demons surfacing, but when he found himself staring down the barrel to Vincent's weapn for a moment, he raised his hands defensively, his heart skipping a beat and ten years being scared off of the end of his life. Not having any idea of what Vincent had just heard in his own mind, the pilot was completely at a loss.
"Whoa there, Sunshine!" the blonde said, as the gun was lowered and then aimed at something else and fired. Cid did his best to get his composure back together, but he was shaken, and badly. Having a comrade point a weapon square between his eyes was not something he took too kindly. "What the fuck was that? Don't you ever point that shit at me, son! You got me? You feelin' all right?"
Cid's eyes narrowed but didn't leave his partner out of concern, nonetheless, he instinctively jabbed backward with his spear, impaling some encroaching creepy crawly. "I appreciate you got issues in that head of yours, Valentine, but... You just about to scared the livin' shit outta me there... We got an assignment and if I have to be wonderin' about your mental stability it ain't gonna do much for my focus on the problem at hand. ...I wish I could have a Goddamed cigarette right about now."

He didn't want to talk about it but after a long look at the one demanding answers he knew he couldn't refuse. This was Cid, after all, someone he owed an explination for pointing a gun to his face.
"It wont happen again, Cid, I couldn't see you." The gun swung again to shoot another creature from out behind the pilot. "It wasn't..." Wasn't what? He thought ruefully at himself. Wasn't like his normal crazy voices? He never enjoyed speaking about his inner demons but Cid was right, if he had to worry about him snapping he couldn't focus on the battle at hand. He sighed softly beneath the fabric before his mouth, "It wasn't like before. This is something different. If it happens again I'll drop my gun before I let myself point it at you." He was serious about that too. When was Vincent anything but serious anyway? He'd throw his own gun away before he'd let himself shoot a friend, he just hoped it wouldn't come to that. "Let's get this done with."
He brought his gun back up to shoot another would-be-assailant and the barrels smoked as he stepped off, gun blazing again as he sighted and took out more creatures as the pair blasted and stabbed their way to the source of this problem. Crimson eyes swivled to the man beside him and he fiercely hoped that visitor wouldn't come back. Click. Recoil. Click. Recoil.

The pilot made a slightly discontented sound, but nodded in agreement anyway, taking back up the task at hand of clearing the path. His spear found its mark in the chest of several attackers, then having to shake them off of the weapon after thier dispatch. He lost all track of time as they made thier way forward slowly. Eventually, Cid realized they were close.
"Okay... whatever's goin' on, it's gonna be around this next corner. Godddamnit..." his words were interrupted as something dropped from the ceiling onto the blonde's back. By the weight of it, he knew it couldn't be a particularly large creature, but before he was able to reach back and pull it off of him, he felt claws dug deep into his back.
"Fuck! GET THE FUCK OFFA ME!!!" Cid shrieked, swinging his spear behind his back in an attempt to sweep the invader off of him, but to no avail. "Sunshine! A little help?!"
