Notable features: As with two others in the Order, Xemnas' eyes are a yellowed color. {Xigbar and Saix are the other two.} But Xemnas' eyes bare a deeper orange along the edges of the eye.
Xemnas also bares a bronzed coloration but not as rich as seen on his Heartless.
Weapons: Xemnas' most primary weapon are lightsaber-esque glowing rods of energy. But unlike a lightsaber, the energy manifests from Xemnas' palm.
While not really a weapon, Xemnas' influence holds sway over the other Nobodies and is often used as a threat amongst them. We see this when Marluxia threatens Vexen to report to the Superior of the Riku Replica's failure. Vexen of course quickly agrees.
Abilities: Like the other Nobodies, Xemnas has the power to create 'Lesser Nobodies'. In Xemnas' case, they're the Sorcerer Nobodies.
Like the others in the Order, Xemnas is able to form portals to travel from one place to another. Perhaps on the same level as a ghost being able to walk through walls. After all, the wall exists, the Nobodies do not. What should a wall mean to them?
Something I wish to note that we see in the KH2: FM PV is that there is some elaborate naming ceremony Xemnas conducts for Roxas. Might we infer that he named the other eleven Nobodies in a similar way?
Personality: Xemnas is a Nobody and therefore lacks emotions of any sort. In fact, he tends to overexaggerate the emotions of rage and sorrow not able to feel them. Perhaps to appeal to the Keyblader's 'Light', to continue using Sora as a puppet for their own gain.

Bio: In Xemnas' previous existance he was Ansem the Wise's assistant Xehanort. As is the case with most well knowledged people, Xehanort wished to know more and went against Ansem's wishes to proceed with his research on hearts.
It is then that he turned his back on his own heart and took on Ansem's name as he became a Heartless. It is during the plot of KH1 that he uses the heartless to kidnap the various Princesses of Light for their pure hearts to open up a gateway.
After being defeated by Sora, the heartless was defeated but the Nobody was yet to be accounted for. Xemnas, the Nobody is first sighted on a dark beach talking to Roxas. Xemnas knows that only a keyblade can release hearts from the heartless and Roxas has at max 2 of them in posession being Sora's Nobody.
But Xemnas does not appear with the hood removed until after the heartless army attacks. In the World that Never Was, Xemnas thanks his former Master, who has been hiding as DiZ until this moment, for being "the source of all Heartless."
DiZ ultimately ruins Kingdom Hearts for Xemnas but Xemnas is able to use what is left of Kingdom Hearts power to take on a new form to battle Sora and his friends. Even as he was thought defeated, he manages to appear again to seperate Sora and Riku from the rest. During this final battle, Xemnas tries to turn the two against each other. His efforts fail and Xemnas is defeated to fade back into darkness.
